πΏ Introduction
Every PlantPico terrarium is unique in design, but most of the care is the same. The main difference is watering frequency. Use this guide to quickly find the right routine for your terrarium model.
| Terrarium Model | Likely Plant Mix | Baseline Watering | Why / Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zen Garden | Moss, Fittonia (nerve plant), small grass clump, dwarf shrub/tree | 1Γ per week (may need 2Γ in dry rooms) | Moss + Fittonia prefer steady moisture. Moderate vessel size. |
| Tiny World | Moss, Fittonia, small mondo-grass clump, stones | 1Γ per week | Compact design; moss holds humidity well. Check soil before watering. |
| Edenβs Pond | Moss, dwarf tree, water feature | 1Γ per week (light) | Pond boosts humidity. Mist soil lightly; top-up pond if needed. |
| Tree of Wisdom | Dwarf tree on moss mound | 2Γ per week (1Γ in humid rooms) | Elevated moss mound dries faster; tree transpires more. |
| Water World | Moss band above aquarium | 1Γ per week (light mist) | Aquarium raises humidity. Mist top lightly; maintain fish water weekly. |
| ZenFlow | Moss, Fittonia, larger canopy tree | 2Γ per week | Tall vessel with larger foliage β faster drying. |
| Water Falling | Moss, fern/grass clumps, circulating water feature | 1Γ per week + reservoir top-ups | Waterfall adds humidity. Mist soil weekly; keep reservoir filled and pump clean. |
| MiniHaven | Moss, dwarf tree, grass clump, aquarium below | 2Γ per week (reduce to 1Γ if soil stays moist) | Larger open top dries quicker, but aquarium adds humidity. Maintain water as well. |
π Always use filtered, mineral, or purified water. Avoid hard tap water.
π Soil should feel slightly moist, not soggy. Moss should never be submerged.
β Quick Troubleshooting
Yellowing leaves β too much/too little water or low humidity.
Black patches β high humidity + low light. Improve airflow and lighting.
Mold β reduce watering, clean gently, increase airflow.
Foggy glass β normal in small amounts; heavy fog = too much water.
Weak plants after arrival β normal shipping stress; adjust water and light.
-
Tiny bugs β harmless springtails may appear; they help soil. Contact support if pests are unwanted.
