🌍 Overview
The Tiny World Terrarium is designed as a miniature landscape with a moss-covered pathway, decorative stones, and carefully selected live plants. It brings the beauty of nature indoors in a compact, easy-to-maintain form.
Inside, you’ll find a combination of:
Lush green moss covering the ground.
Colorful Fittonia (nerve plant) for vibrant contrast.
A small ornamental shrub for height and structure.
Compact grassy plants that add texture and balance.
These plants thrive together in a humid, bright-indirect environment with simple care.
💧 Watering
Water about once per week.
Always check first: touch the top moss—if it feels dry, it’s time to water.
In warmer or drier rooms, you may need to water twice per week.
Use filtered or mineral water; avoid hard tap water.
Keep moss slightly moist, but avoid soaking the soil.
☀️ Light
Place in bright, indirect sunlight or use the included lamp.
Keep the lamp on for around 8 hours daily.
Avoid direct sun which can overheat the glass and scorch the moss.
Do not leave the lamp on 24/7—plants need darkness to breathe and rest.
🌡️ Temperature & Humidity
Keep between 18–25 °C (65–77 °F).
Maintain moderate humidity (50–70 %) for best moss health.
Avoid heaters, AC vents, or cold drafts.
🧹 Cleaning & Upkeep
Wipe the glass with a soft, dry cloth to remove smudges or condensation.
Trim moss or Fittonia if they start to overgrow the pathway.
Remove any fallen leaves to prevent mold.
❓ Troubleshooting
Moss turning brown: Too much direct sun or drying out—move to softer light and mist more regularly.
Fittonia wilting: A clear sign of dryness; water lightly and it will usually recover within hours.
White fuzzy mold: Reduce watering, improve airflow, and gently clean if visible.
Excess condensation: Reduce watering and place the terrarium in a spot with better airflow.
🌿 Long-Term Tips
Fertilizer is optional; if desired, use a diluted liquid houseplant fertilizer every 6–8 weeks during the growing season.
Prune plants occasionally to maintain the miniature landscape look.
